Fairy-tale documentary Jara will be screened at Tbilisi International Film Festival 2018 in the frame of Georgian Panorama. The screening will take place at Film House, at 16:00 p.m. December 6. Film Festival tickets cost 4 Gel. Tickets will be available two days before the opening at the box offices of cinemas (Amirani, Film House) and online: tkt.ge, kinoafisha.ge and biletebi.ge.
The 19th Tbilisi International Film Festival will open on December 3 with Nino Jvania’s film Parade. Award ceremony will be held on December 8, where The Happy Prince by Rupert Everett will be screened. Overall you will have the possibility to see up to 120 films, presented in different sections. The screenings will be held in Amirani Cinema and Cinema House.
Tbilisi International Film Festival was established in 2000 within a larger art festival framework entitled Gift, which carried numerous supporters and sponsors. Consequently, the festival at that time was able to have an interesting and diverse program. Every year TIFF offers meetings of professionals in the cinema community, workshops, master classes, retrospectives and other industry events. The key aims of the festival are to introduce the Georgian public with new works of high artistic value and to give motivation to young cinematographers and encourage them to develop their talent and artistic vision.
