Giorgi Vatsadze, director of photography of fairy tale documentary Jara, is the winner of the Golden Eye 2018 for Best TV Camera work. The head of the international jury George Ebralidze announced the winner of the category and personally awarded Giorgi Vatsadze:
“It is great honor for me to announce the winner of this nomination as far as every single member of jury has made one and the same choice. Everyone recognized Georgian Product Jara and Giorgi Vatsadze as deserved winners of this category.” – mentioned Ebralidze.
Giorgi Vatsadze accepted the award from the head of international jury and thanked to the director of Jara, Nika Tsiklauri, who attended the official ceremony and his wife, Lela Kunchulia.
From 2009, Georgia hosts International Festival of TV and Movie Cameramen “Golden Eye”, the main goal of the festival is to support the development of movie and TV cameramen, promote and stimulate their work, identify and encourage the best. Festival attracts participants from all over the world and as visitors are mentioning it is an unique event.
