EcoFilms in bear trap!

31.10.2012

While working on a big photo assignment in Racha region, nearby Shaori Lake, Nika Tsiklauri was captured by huge bear trap.

Here are some of press coverage links:

Poaching is still a huge problem in Georgia, though it’s better than it was some years ago. Working in the field, even in many of Protected Areas, I often witness poaching facts, hear gunshots, find shells… This was a first time I found a trap, or trap found me should I say.

I am really concerned about this issue and thinking of starting a anti-poaching conservation project, involving NGOs and filmmaking together. Anybody has a nice idea? wanna participate? Welcome!
